Student Research Program (SRP)

Students from the 2024 SRP cohort at the mid-summer retreat.

The Student Research Program (SRP) provides Delaware’s undergraduates with paid, real-world experience conducting biomedical research at all five DE-INBRE partner institutions as well as two affiliated non-profits.

The SRP uses a common application system to select students for the program to identify undergraduate students with research talent from across Delaware. DE-INBRE then places these students in research internships with faculty mentors working in students’ areas of interest.

Yearly evaluation data from students and mentors are used to continually refine the program. SRP scholars are required to present their research at least once per year at a DE-INBRE managed research conference to gain scientific communication skills.
